If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data.

Your transaction data is kept only for as long as necessary to complete your purchase, then deleted.

All direct payment gateways comply with PCI-DSS standards, managed by the PCI Security Standards Council (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover).

These requirements ensure secure management of bank card data by our store and its service providers.

• cart : unique token, persistent for 2 weeks — stores the contents of your cart.

• _secure_session_id : unique, session token.

• storefront_digest : unique token, indefinite duration — used to verify access if the store is password protected.
